Mission
The MSc in Electronic Science and Technology is a joint degree offered by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) and Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU). The program educates sophisticated engineering specialists in Electrical and Electronic Engineering who can research, teach, and manage engineering projects in a bilingual, international environment. Graduates are trained to conduct independent research, track state-of-the-art technologies, publish in English, and thrive in international collaborations.
Joint-Degree Structure
The program follows a 1 + 1 + 1 year structure across the two universities:
- Year 1 — at HDU (Hangzhou, China): Taught coursework. Students complete 7 CUT-delivered courses and 6 HDU-delivered courses, then submit a thesis proposal in coordination with CUT supervisors.
- Year 2 — at CUT (Limassol, Cyprus): Research Methods course (EEN515) and full-time thesis research under CUT supervision, culminating in a mid-thesis examination.
- Year 3 — at HDU: Extension of thesis research, scientific/technical work, one or more academic papers or a patent, plus final dissertation submission and defense to meet HDU graduation requirements.
